Pace FMIC(the best),

According to who:rolleyes:

Jabba told me to stay away from dual core systems due to larger pressure drops hence why i went for the forge FMIC which has been developed, tried and tested.

The pace FMIC doesn't seem to have done anything good for Bentaw, his car seems to be constantly sick:blink: ;)

I dont think it was thouroughly developed either

Anyway its all personal opinion at the end of the day:) ;)

not now it doesnt mine pulls the lowest a revo lcr has ever done 156g/s get in, Martin has a neuspeed induction kit with heat sheild and he pulled 263bhp and 300lbs of torque

Did you run at the same RR day? What did you get?

on a previous thread, during a rant on something or other (escapes me) there were posts on actual scaling on ecu numbers, which showed the scaling range between 1.8T's was not the same, and as a consequence the absolute reference to air mass flow is not neccessarily comparible between setups, let alone remapped versions of said.

I'd say you're right there Bill. It would explain why mine (LC) logged 193.08 g/s or thereabouts a few times.

Sorry Bill - I've read this post a good few times and I don't understand...

Are you talking about the 1.31 * g/sec = HP calculation, or something else?

Yeah but if you get it right in three weeks whats the point of doing anything more???

Because that is the meaning of development :p

Lets hope Seat didn't adopt the same attitude with our safety systems or we're all royally fcuked! :cartman:

I am pretty sure that Forge spent a LOT longer developing their intercooler... its not to say they got a better product, but they certainly spent a lot more time with R&D.

and how do you know you've got the best you can get, until you've tried all other possibilities? That is, after all, what R&D is all about. (And not just settling for a product that works)

well the forge s3 one was done over 4 days so that must be a crock of shite according to your statement, at the end of the day both the forge and the pace ones are good just because my car is sick isnt becuase of the Pace fmic what does that have to do with a dead MAF.

Pace and i spent 9-10 weeks researching and developing the FMIC before they had my car for 2 and half weeks. Pace tested for pressure drops and said that there was hardly and drop in pressure across the system at all. I had an email somewhere.

At the end of the day Martin was the first person to have the forge FMIC on his s3 so he knows how long it took them to build, as they developed it on his car. He has no problem with forge he was just more impressed with the Pace one when he saw it, thats his opinion.

Pace actually struggled to measure a 1 psi drop in pressure across the FMIC so a dual core fmic being greater pressure loss i dont think so, but then are they talking about something else the pace fmic isnt dual core, its a 2 row 40mm core with one inlet and one outlet both at the bottom and either side.

Unless you guys actually were apart of the developing then im sorry but i dont think you have the right to slate what developing is when you dont know what went into that FMIC.

Rudd, martin has actually smoothed out his MAF on a laith (think thats how its spelt) he also used a smooth airbox but now has a neuspeed induction kit

ok lads, get off your high horses and get on with the original thread, some think the pace one is the best, some think forge is the best, end of.

my dad could have your dad posts and penis comparisons are not helpful whatsoever

yep - you're quite right in that statement and I don't think anyone is argueing with that. Its just the way Richy put his words together ;) 3 weeks is NOTHING in terms of R&D :bleh:

I think we all know your MAF is dead, but i also don't think you should EXPECT figures that martin is getting - his are high in comparison with others.

there is also a guy running nearly 400bhp on a mk4 golf that works for APS i think thats the name of the company with the PACE fmic for the LCR on it so it must be doing something right

pabs mate i am not expecting those figures, martin always seems to pull better rr figures or get higher figures and get his mods before me, i am not jealous honest.

All i was saying was that martin pulled those figures, he has stg2 i have stg1 he has full system i dont so i was never actually saying i am looking to get those figures once my maf is sorted i was just saying its possible cos me like feel thought that 210 was the highest we could see in a mapped lcr.
