Cupra R...s badge query????

Hi folks quick question, my mate has just purchased a Leon Cupra R, 05 reg, silver with optional Recaros, he noticed it has the "R" badge on the side and back has a "S" beside it, ie "RS", what does the "S" mean?

Is it a sports upgrade or summat?

Any help appreciated...

Erm as far as i know, the cupra r was the flag ship one and there was never any ltd edition ones. Maybe just some body rebadged it?

I've got the Recaro upgrade in mine. Never noticed an 'S' anywhere. I think someone may of added that personal touch.

As above, sounds like somebody has tacked another badge on the side of it. Tell your mate to rip them off pronto!

Aye we werent sure, just presumed it was factory fitted badge as it had extras. The salesman didnt have a clue as he was about 80 years old and just wanted the sale.

He doesnt get it for another week so ill get picks up then.

Cheers for your help guys, i was up seeing the car with my mate today and it turns out the previous owner has went and put 3 Audi RS badges on it! ie off an RS4 or summat!?!

needless to say they dont look right at all and they will be removed asap!

There are some worries that there could be a scratch were some theiving gypsy bastarts have had the cupra ones away! Hopefully the previous owner was an idiot and just preferred Audi badges and took care when removing the original Cupra R ones!
