Cupra: Red Wing Mirrors + Chrome grill

I am going to look at a red Leon Cupra this weekend but was wondering if anyone can answer two questions I have about it. I have looked through the forum and cant see anything about it.

1. Its has red wing mirrors, I thought they where all gloss black paint.
2. It also has a chrome front grill, I thought this was black too.

Think the car was registered June 2007, has there been a facelift since then.?

Should I look out for anything else?

As far as I know all Cupra's have black wing mirrors. FR has silver and other Leon's body colour.

Black grill is only on MY08 cars, mine is registered July 2007 and has the black grill. It was after a certain build week but I know that mine was one of the first. Cupra's before this had the chrome grill.

No other spec changes between release and now that I know of, apart from Xenons becoming an option.

Maybe the previous owner requested body colour wing mirrors.

Ask the dealer why it has the red wing mirrors. A red car looks a lot better with black ones.

Do you work at/own Webcon?

Thanks for the replies. I fully intend to ask about the red wing mirrors but just wanted to be clued up about any earlier specifications I didn’t know about beforehand (So I don’t look stupid).

I don’t have any involvement with ‘Webcon’. You must be thinking of another Andy Grey.

I suspect the previous owner changed them to be colour coded. I suppose most "non seat cupra enthusiast" would probably do so.
It probably looked better in their eyes

I viewed the Red Leon Cupra today and wasn't completely happy with it.
They had a new Inferi Black one in the showroom so I got that one instead.
