hi,

ive tried looking but cant find info. how do you spot the differance between a 210 and 225 Cupra R? I'll be buying a Cupra soon and want a 225 ;)

thats where i got mine , nowt dodgy about it, although i never bought it through ebay i went to the seller direct, all the way down to portsmouth, admittedly i woulda preffered to buy from a dealer, but these things second hand up in scotland are like hens teeth, rare wee beasties indeed, i paid £10400 for mine, 22000 on the clock, mint, 52plate fssh etc etc. drove 450 miles home as well. full recaros front and rear, proper bobby bonus, but i agree that you've got to be carefull and it is more stressful than buying through a dealer or even privately closer to home. get hpi done etc etc.

Sub 10k i think will be high milers and dog condition, Surely? I know there are a few on ebay! But thats proper dodgy!

Some Cupra R's are 4 years old now, and the car is now an old model so why the hell won't there be good examples for under 10k?! :wtf:

there will be if you look hard enough and aren't worried about higher miles, incidently on the subject of 210/225 whats the difference, not much aparently as mine just put out 225bhp and 211lbs of torque on star performances rr today yeehah

one of the easiest ways to spot the difference is that the 225 bhp cars the Cupra R badge at the rear is in red writting. The 210bhp car is Cupra R written in black..

Its amazing of the myths and legends that get about, especially concerning engine differences etc.

i can tell you now there is no engine internal differences between the AMK and the BAM.

as a guide from ETOS and ETKA the block and piston set for AMK :06A 103 101 J
and for the BAM : 06A 103 101 J

conrod for BAM : 027 198 401 B
conrod for AMK : 027 198 401 B

I know but my post was in line with what was being discussed! I asumed people could pm me but obviously not. Hey they could always reply to this post!

judderi, accept your a newbie to the forums and advise you to read the rules (the ones you clicked "i accept" to when you joined) regarding for sale etc

thanks

225 cupra R`s have a red band round the top centre of the steering wheel and the badge on the back saying cupra is in red writing. the gear knob may be different aswell but I`v not seen a 210 inside, only in pictures so not sure.
