dash light

hi,will VAG-COM help find wots wrong with my car?
the light that comes on (when the headlights/side lights are on) on my dash
stays on,dimly but stays on all the time,even when the car is locked.would it be a faulty
light switch and would VAG-COM show this?
please help.

Check that there is no water in any of the light connectors on all the lights. this could be causing a short somewhere but the light connectors are the easiest place to have a quick check.
