I'm looking for a way to further brighten up the interior of my car, I have the chrome stuff and the Mk5 gear knob but was looking to make some tonal differences too...

Ideally would like to achieve this ... Some how don't think I can.

So what I thought about doing was painting the part round the Stereo and the Climate Control, a sort of dark anthracite colour, not too different a colour - just a subtle change.
If I was doing this I would get it done a matt finish as I don't think a gloss finish would work for me, I would be forever cleaning it!
Also I would probably do the things in the middle of the vents the same colour just to break it up a bit / blend it all together.

Has anyone else painted their dash?

If you have done something with your could you post pictures of what you've done so I can get some ideas of whether it'll work or not...

There was a guy from Finland who painted parts of the dash on his Cordoba back when I first joined here, but the threads and the photos seem to have disappeared. He did a good job too.

It'd be quite tricky painting the dash when it's in the car. You'd defo want a matt finish as a gloss finish would blind you on the rare days when the sun is out in this country!

The stereo surround would be a lot easier. I think Scott-o covered his stereo surround with a carbon fibre vinyl
