My key tag wouldn't have it on I'm guessing

yup indeed you are correct if you already have your SKC

you may need a new transponder in your second key too

i used the software that came with the cable dude...

Vagtacho mainly....as it works with USB

The ones above are all serial ones..

armr1002 - i believe the SKC cable has more electronics in it......its definetly bigger than a standard vag.com cable.....

im sure someone will enlighten us!

I've tried using vagtacho to try and get the 4 digit code out of my 2002 (51) Leon tdi 110. However i can't access it. It can read the VIN etc. under the VDO setting and the Audi immo setting gives a message in german but neither setting will enable the pin to be read as it can't log in to the immobiliser. Have you got a Leon or an Ibiza?

well what u need to do is use vag tacho....

then try different ECU's in the list...

try the VDO ones at the top first.... log in to them.....

I've tried them all but had no luck, only the VDO ones and Audi immo ones work but can't get past reading the info as it won't log in. Just get access denied messages. Is there any way I can check what sort of immobiliser I have? Do you think my car is too new for the 4 digit codes??

if its a 2002 it SHOULD be a 4 digit, but they did change them half way thru 2002 i believe....

u have tried to connect to all the ECU's listed?? and only VDO one and audi immo one gives you the READ PIN option???????

My mates Audi A3 and Audi A4 were all under VDO or Audi Box.....my Ibiza 02 plate mk3 was under the VDO old i think...

Just choose those ECU's click to CONNECT TO ECU and then click on READ PIN.

The top of the page will change to logged in AUTHORISED if you have successfully got in to the immo box...

Thats all off the top of my head mind u...

have you got the latest version of vag tacho? 1.7? i think i used 1.6?

i've tried all versions of the program 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.63 and 1.7 and still can't get it to work.

it reports the immobiliser as:

The seed-key message only comes up about once every 50 tries and all times it said access denied.

bummer dude...have you found out if you should have a 4 digit skc or a 7 digit skc...coz if its 7 digit skc i don't believe its possible to get it out of the car.....

the only other thing u can do is, maybe get a com cable instead and use the other type of programs......

Are you using the CONNECT ECU button....

what happens when you perss "conntect to any ECU!"
