Took delivery of my Hughes engineering rear strut brace this week so trying to find time to get this fitted.
Also DK is working on some
Engine bay bling for me over the next few weeks as the catch can is delayed.
Will be expecting:
polished inlet manifold
Carbon cover
Carbon TB cover
While I fit this I will also take the chance to wrinkle black paint the TB and rocker cover.
Hope to have all that sorted next month just in time for the catch can delivery I hope so can move onto that and the pcv delete. Busy couple of months.

Fitted the rear strut brace last night.
Started by removing the trim the parcel shelf sits on.
After pulling the carpet down I slotted mounting plates in position.
Then bolted the main brackets to these.
Popped it all back together.
After both sides then fitted the brace.

Got some silicone hose lengths and started to replace a few old hoses under the bonnet to prevent future leaks and add colour.
After and before of coolant and carbon canister hoses.
After and before of brake servo hoses:
Got a couple more to replace when I get the rest of the hoses through.

A bit more bay bling today.
Replaced a perishing vac hose from the throttle body.
Got ride of it including the hard pipe and replaced all the way back to the fire wall keeping the one way valve.
Then added the coil pack loom cover.
Had to modify is slightly by cutting it down as its for a TFSI set up.
Removed the heat shielding from the loom.
Then added the cover.
So the bay currently stands as this.
Lots more in the pipeline over the next couple months so watch this space!

Had a good look through your thread Liam and it's looking great mate. You don't need me doing your bay it's looking awesome as it is! Look forward to seeing stage 2. You will love it.

Been busy again this afternoon with a cheeky little mod.
First off I have to say thank you to Adam Farrington from here for the reference but credit goes to Graham "old guy" from the TT Forum. Check him out over there on the group buy section for this little gem and other bits.

Been busy with the throttle body over the past few days.
Removed and cleaned.
Then masked up.
Three coats of wrinkle black paint and heat gun.
Tape removed.
And re fitted.
Before and after.
Really happy with it and will be doing the rocker cover to match it soon.
