A mate of mine showed me on his. I will post up pictures this week when I do it.
Basically unplug the connector and connect a resistor to prevent it throwing a code up. Cap the hose that comes off of it from the bulk head hard line and then vent the hose from the petrol tank that goes to it down into the wing and wheel arch area.
So finally completed the evap carbon canister delete to stop that annoying ticking and tidy the bay up a bit.
Before:
Easy enough to do. Un plug the electrical connector to it and I ordered this resistor to prevent a code being thrown up.
Connected this into the plug then taped it up and hid it away safely.
I then removed the hose from it that goes back to the hardline at the bulk head. This vents to the TIP eventually. I capped this at the hardline.
I then needed to vent the fuel line to atmosphere. After removing the canister out of the way there was no way the hose was going to reach far enough to stodgy me the fumes were being vented from the bay so i got some 8mm silicone and an elbow and removed the original line and ran a longer one from the outlet along the wing and down through a rubber grommet into the wheel arch area.
Job done. No clicking. No fault codes and safely vented well out of the engine bay!
