DIY Remaps ???

Hi,

Just seen this on fleabay.

Do you reckon it would be possible to read a re-mapped ECU then reprogram it on to another ??

reading the cars its compatible with, it only seems to do the 1.9 TDI's and none of the others

you just have to hope that you don't lock out either ECU when you do it

then again, the way some of the forum members are willing to go to unknown people on ebay/web who just buy these same tools (which are hacked/cloned copies) you'd think they didn't care about their car

Personally I'd leave well alone.
If you want a remap go to a professional.
Very easy to wreck your car, but damned expensive to fix it.
