This morning I tried to open my car and nothing is happening!!! it locks with using the button but will not unlock, I only have one key so im gettin a little worried

also when i opened the door manually it stayed locked but the alarm went off and all the windows came down!!! dont really know whats goin on, has this happened to any one before?

would it be just the batteries changing? can i do this or does it need to go to a garage? or is it a more serious problem????

Ususally indicates a battery problem in the keyfob, my old saxo did it, unlocked but wouldent lock, changed battery and it was fine. Any auto locksmith or auto factor should change it for the price of a battery about £1 - £2. I even had my fob tested and was told it was fine, once the battery is going it sends mixed signals to the car.

think I need to change mine as signal is rubbish and intermittently wont work. I've noticed if you mix lock/unlock and key/remote then the alarm sometimes goes and sometimes doesn't. Your windows will go up and down automatically if you put the key in the lock, turn it and hold it at 45 degrees. Dont hold it there and the car will lock/unlock but the windows wont roll down.
