• Hi Guest There will be essential maintenance on the server on Monday 10th November from 5am meaning the website will be offline for a period of time. We will do everything to ensure the downtime is kept to a minimum.
get the car in the air, and look for the pipe going from the fuel tank. disconnect it (and have something to collect it in)

16 litres which is about half a tank, its not been run yet. Im just wondering if any petrol will be in the system yet because the ignitions been on and if your method will completely empty it?

it'll empty it enough. if you've not turned it on, then it's unlikely any fuel will have got anywhere - it'll just be sat in the tank.

Diesels can handle a bit of petrol. Drain it, fill it right up with diesel and you'll be fine.

(That's why at the petrol station the diesel nozzle is bigger than the petrol one. So that you can put petrol in a diesel by accident, but not the other way round. That's the theory anyway).
