donny 06

hi coatsie hoped we'd catch up,looking forward to the weekend as life is hectic at work, hope you both doing well.
since MORK has replied i take it that my initial application for a pass was successful, so sorry for the repeat prescription.
anyone else on here staying local or even camping at donny!!
ROLL ON SUNDAY AND LETS HOPE SEAT HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND RACING:funk:

Did someone mention camping !, yes fella quite a few of us are camping in the field next to the circuit.......... Could be interesting !

i was up for camping but wife likes her comfort so having to do the honrably thing and have booked a hotel but would imagine a great night in the confines of donny if previous sights r anything to go by, toilet blocks and lighting was supplied for campers last year.

We were planning to be there between 8 and 8.30

I presume that is a new tunnel, then? Last year it was the one further round towards McLeans
Well spotted! I wasn't sure either.

think the pic my be old?

It must be a new tunnel, that map is new off their website. The one we used last year was the one now marked 'Trader crossing point'.

There is another car tunnel marked Esses Tunnel which is old, by the Dunlop Brgidge. Paddock Tunnel is pedestrians (& monkey bikes  ) only.

Coppice tunnel is likely the way in, thats been there for as long as i remember!

The trader entrance isn't a tunnel, they take you across the track, for trucks etc that can't go thru the tunnel. Just someone can't draw who did the illustration for Donington..

They often open up the trader crossing point to all traffic early on before racing, and at the end of the day after the racing, to help the flow of traffic. Otherwise once racing begins, that crossing is shut obivously.

hi Mork
im looking to be there bright and early to as i want to make a full day of it and see all the races, plus ive got my tickets to pick up from the booking office as i left it too late to get mine posted out to me:cry:
ps is anybody running down from up north and meeting up at woodhall services like we did last year ???

That's cool - I need to hand out the passes 100% now, as I will take ownership of them on Saturday bright & early.

DP & SEAT are going to waymark the route & cordon it off for us on Saturday - so with anyluck I'll be able to hand you a 'map' with your pass on where to go on Sunday.

Just need to work out where's the best place to meet y'all and we're done.

Email will go out tonight to all on the list
