Swaped stock air filter for a K&n induction kit. But all it seems to do is make a rather fun noise, lower my mpg and apprently it makes a burning smell....which I've never smelt ever. Any hints or tips?

i had a 57i and all it wanted to do was fall off. i wouldnt even bother with an induction kit again, what are the max gains anyway 5-10hp tops?

get it off and fit a green cotton panel filter in your original air box with a pd160 intake kit from the stealers

induction kits can and do reduce power as they suck in hot air from the engine bay

i took my dynatwist off as i got bored of it, and reverted back to stock filter and air box. Am gonna have to get a green panel and pd160 intake for it at some point though.

All I wanted it for was to increase my mpg as I'd seen it can help in other cars. One thing tho, there is a pipe at the front of the engine in the centre which sticks out and now there's no directed air flow towards it as i believe there was from the original box, I'm guessing that can't be the best thing in the world. Should I go find another bendy pipe or will it not be much of a problem?
