That's a bargain then lol. I had that fitted before I changed it for the revo one.

Indeed. He did have postage set at £15 though so really £165 ;)
Still might be interested if I cant use the one thats coming LOL. I'll just sell it on and buy yours if its still available.
How did the 2 compare. Do you have a charge temp sensor or back to back RR / logs to see any difference? It looks good apart from the foam filter. Just not a fan of foam at all after having issues on previous cars. Easy swap though I guess. :)

Well the Evoms intake arrived today as promised.
Its practically new!!
It has the heat shield and filter surround bit so all is good there.

Now for the k03 v k04 fitment..... I think the gamble has paid off and no mod required...
I've not looked at how its going to line up on the car yet but I'm guessing this is the k04 kit used with the bung for the k03 car and I can just remove the bung and put the DV re-circ line into there? :)

Yeah that's the same as mine, really easy to fit.
Dv return hose is a little tight if you modify the engine cover to fit over your Evoms.

Perfect, cheers Kev. Always easier when I dont need to modify anything!! :D
I'm not going to cut up my engine cover but will keep my eyes open for another cover that I can butcher.
Not spending mega bucks on a plastic cover but if I see one for ~£40 I'll buy it.

Car is with the main dealer today for its service.
Will get the plugs, coils etc ordered today and we are all good for map next weekend I think. :)

Went out tonight and fitted the Evoms intake. Straight forward as expected, although I did manage to fit the heat sheild upsides down first time round LOL.
Quick run to make sure everything was OK. I do love the note of an induction kit :)

All ready for the trip to Ecotune tomorrow for APR Stage 1+ :)

Very tempted to go get the BCS cat back now just to complete the noise.

Mate theres a group buy on the MK5 gti forum!!!! some bargains to be had ;)

Already saw that and I've posted in there. Still deciding what to do.

Plus I already had a price from Nigel and it wasn't that far off the GB price to be fair.
Way less than RRP if the GB price is 20% off RRP!!

Gies a shout later on min on yer way home - will be good to see and hear this :)

I've got the BCS catback on my R you won't be disappointed mate the quality is excellent and it sounds good too.

Mapping done. Stage 1+. An APR HPFP and an Evoms Induction kit = 361BHP / 352ft-lbs. :)
Clutch = toast!! LOL

So now I need to start looking for best place for an uprated Satch clutch and a new oe flywheel.
Any options welcome......

361bhp 352ft/lbs are good figures for stage 1+. I'm going stage 2 shortly be good to see how they compare.

Cheers. Yes more than I was expecting! Was thinking somewhere between 320 and 340BHP.
Then when the car made 300 / 300 before the map on just the HPFP and Evoms we were kinda thinking it might be interesting!! 360 / 350 on Stage 1+ with clutch slip so looking forward to see how to pulls with the uprated clutch :)

Good stuff. Stage 2 or 2+?
Do you have an uprated clutch?

Just stage 2 for now, I'm waiting to get booked in to have a BCS downpipe and sport cat fitted then I'll have the APR stage 2 software install.

I've got the Sachs uprated clutch, with the standard dual mass flywheel.

I dont know and probably wont till I pull the box off and look at it.
But with 50k miles and it will have seen some heat now from the clutch slipping I think I'll just change it.

Same with the release bearing, might not need it but while the box is out and its all apart its just easier.

Knowing my luck, if I didn't cahange it, it would fail as soon as I put it all back together. :(

I'm leaving the current one in mine, not going to bother changing it don't think I need to.
