Just had my MK4 Cupra dyno'd and got the following results :

191.4 Hp @5233 Rpm
229.2 lb/ft@3991 Rpm

I cant help but be disappointed by these figures, as it has a Revo stage 1 map and revo claim a figure of 206 Hp?

It also has the following :

Forge TIP
Forge 007p (w/ green spring)
Decat back exhaust
Green Cotton open cone filter

Do these figures about right? It has had a new MAF 2 days ago, so can't be this playing up and also no fault codes appearing?

that does seem odd, the 1.8T have 180bhp standard so a re-map should of taken up to 220bhp. can anyone back me up on that?

nope you would need extra mods to get to 220bhp cupra is already at quite a high stage of tune
edit just realised you have got a exhaust system already on it should of def made over the 200 mark mine made 198 with just a map dv and open cone filter

 well you learn something every day. i just thought it would of taken it higher than that because remap on my cupra tdi it added 45bhp am guess diesel and petrol cars are completely different

packaging requirements aside, how is the 1.8T in the mk4 Cupra different to the other K03 or K03s 1.8Ts

My old cupra, ran stage 2 software, tb exhaust, dv cone filter and made a 225bhp with 230 torque, but on a visit to a dastek rollers it only made 213bhp with a slightly higher figure for toruqe.

as mention above its a lottery and best to take an average. wasnt that fussed about the lack in power cause i was happy with it and the rr operator said fuel/air mix was spot on and car was in good health so still left with a smile on my face.

I guess the dyno lottery comment is right, I was just gutted as its not even close to the revo claimed figure of 206 bhp:cry:

One thing to note though, after the dyno a fellow SCN member noticed the wastegate actuator was set to 0.2 bar, rather than the 0.4 - 0.6 stock pressure - this has now been set to 0.5 bar.

I will get the car re-dynoed at the same place and hope to see a difference:blink:

Weak actuator, maybe do some data logging or get a 1 bar forge jobbie

I think your spot on there mate, as peak boost seems to drop as soon as its attained.

The car was back on the same dyno and its best figure was 196.1 bhp and 234 ft lbs torque :(

I have emailed JBS - I hope they can sort a new actuator out :)

What map do you have?

A stage 1 map on a 20VT cupra should be 205-215bhp. Stage 1 on a FR 20VT should be 190-205bhp....

Dont think it will be a actuator problem. Can you get someone to do some logging for you?

Revo stage 1 map - who claim 206 bhp.

The map itself is nice and smooth, and tbh it could be a harsh rolling road but im doubtful.

Its booked in at JBS for a forge 1 bar actuator priced at £350 fitted.

I have a mate with vagcom - what blocks should we be measuring?
