Ebay Battery Covers - Stainless

Has anyone else bought one of these,

Mine arrived this morning and no way is it going to fit. All the wiring on top of the battery wont ensure it gets a flush fit. why do i keep getting suckered into these cheap n nasty cosmetic mods.....

yeah cupra r it says, its poo. And the fixings are a little bit of velcro

I was going to get one of those but when i asked how it would attach over the terminal and fuse box all got was "Velcro innit" glad i was out bidded now

I had looked at them but couldn't see how there would be a decent fit. Bad luck mate - the path of the shiney engine bay is littered with pot holes it would seem...

You can see from the pic that it would be pot luck if it fitted.

All the battery covers are the same size he just laser cuts out the names.

These truly are cak. Just to humour myself, i lifted my bonnet up, and its no where near a fit. As you say, its just a flat piece of stainless, with a different car name lazer cut into it. And for £20.00 all in.......

Well ive opened up a paypay dispute and told the seller im sending it back. We will see what happens.

I was going to gwt onw for my Ibiza

I asked him the size and in the reply it was 2" small and was not going to fit

I bet most people would notsend it back anyway?

why not just make one ?

any pics of bits needed to be avoided and or shaped round ?

If you want a cover so badly, just make one yourself.

Make a net template out of card then cut some aluminium and polish it up. Job done....

i bet it fits the battery,just not with the leads or fuses connected.which is really useful.

Saw a guy at a local meet that had bought one, didn't ask him about it, but i reckon it had been bought for the battery and didn't fit as his was stuck on the floor of his boot as part of an ICE install. Looked pretty good.
