I don't suppose anybody in the Newcastle area has one of these, wouldn't mind a few things activating on my SE.

Will of course pay beer tokens.

Excellent Work Dean!
Those vids are also invaluable as you can see what each mod does, thanks for sharing! Having seen your vids, I think I will be activating a couple more things on top of the staging and alarm chirp :D

I'm in Darlington Tunney and have just ordered one of these cables. So if it's not too far for you, when I get it and I'm up to speed on what I'm doing your more than welcome to hop on the A1 and come use it or have a dodgy meeting in a service station somewhere lol

Where did you find the one button mirror fold Dean?

Frac, I had the very question too!! But managed to find it in the end - it comes under this heading in the list on the LHS: Spiegelanklappung radio mode

Very confusing huh as that description is nothing like what it does, lol :)

This is getting tempting now, may have to invest in a cable. Mostly for the one touch mirror folding on locking, carbon background and needle sweep!

Does the lap timer have a 0-60 timer by any chance? :clown:

Not quite, but the software (VCDS) has a built in feature to measure just that:

http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/acceleration.html

It's very accurate since it reads and averages all 4 ABS sensors and it even gives you an error range (+-.12 seg etc)

Ok,
its been a marathon.....but Ive kinda got a little bit done.

I installed the virtual machine on my macbook and eventually got the rosstech software to work....took some hassle but I got there in the end.
Only issue I can't help s that it continually keeps changing the date back to todays date!

I managed to enable staging and also adjust the mpg to be more accurate. Ive also got the fog on turn lights to come on.

However, I cannot get the red lighting to work at all, cannot get the locking chirp to work and cannot get the fan speed in auto to work....so, some success....but still frustrating...

I had to change the date on the main operating system.

Use the guides on the german site i posted above rather than the one in the faq section and be very careful with your german - there are lots of options in central electronics!
