Engine Code? Ibiza Cupra TDI 160

Hi,

Does anyone know the engine code for the Ibiza Cupra TDI PD 190 (2004)?

Couldnt find anything on the search

Yep, early Cupra 160s have a BPX engine code, later ones get a BUK engine code. I can only assume its to do with Euro 4 requirements.

I was told by a garage that mine has the later code being an 07,
Apparently means the engines internals should be stronger not sure if this is true or not would be interesting if anyone knows?

doubt it mate, if anything they are probably weaker knowing how much penny pintching seat have with there new models.

I found out a couple of months ago, the BPX is Euro 3 and the BUK is Euro 4. All about emissions, the BUKs definately aren't stronger!

I thought it was probably wrong. I know what you mean by penny pinchining seat!
