Engine Management light and EPC Light

Hello all,

Can someone please help ??

Ive have a '06 Leon Sport done 53k with no modifications at all.

Randomly the EM light and the EPC light came on.

Just to put my mind at rest, is this a common problem ??

What usually is the cause and best fix for the problem ??

Any help is most helpful ??

Im thinking (hopefully) that its just a wiring issue and not the ECU failing .. . . . . . .

It's flagging a fault code you need to get it fault code read really

had it scanned, something like a po611 fault, tells me the controller module is U/S ??????

epc light could be simple as a blown brake light, check your bulbs. i had it on my mk1 leon, it wasn't the bulbs, or the coil pack, or the spark plugs. led me to beleive it was something to do with one of the throttle pedal position sensors. fortunately i got rid of it before it killed me............

Have you cleared the code and then it has come up again?
