Hey folks...
I done some searching before posting this up, but couldn't really find much info that would help me. Mostly all about the clutch sensor becoming loose etc and throwing up the EPC light. Nothing really about having throttle issues!
Right basically, my car was running sweet.... Was just driving to the petrol station and all of a sudden I have no throttle, it cut all revs and just sat in idle and the EPC light popped up on the dash. So I clutched it too the side of the road. Turned the ignition off and back on hoping it would resolve the problem, put my foot back on the throttle and nope, still nothing
Phoned the AA and the guy came out, checked all my plugs, wires etc and everything was all in place. Disconnected the battery for a short period of time to see if it would reset. Still nothing. So he towed me back to my house. Next day I got my mate round with his vagcom.
He plugged it in and these are the fault codes...

P1542 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17581 - Angle Sensor 2 for Throttle Actuator (G188) Signal too High
P1173 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Done some digging about on rosstech and came to the conclusion it was the 'Accelerator Sensor' that was knackered, So I got a replacement one, plugged it in and still nothing. Was still coming up with the same codes as before. We even re-aligned the throttle as I read somewhere that could result in no throttle.
Now I'm well and truly stuck too whats wrong with it. Could it be the ECU?
Desperate help needed here folks
... How do I resolve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
