I had the same reponse from my dealer but I'd rather they made sure it was ok.

By the time I get home tonight, I'll have done over 200 miles since collection. Everything seems ok so far

i finally got my car back last thursday and 10 mins after them saying its completely fixed i got the same problems and this is the 5th chance they have had now to fix it, so we are now contacting a lawyer and ill let yous know how that goes and maybe yous could do the same if it goes well

Grrr - my EML came on again this morning. I can't understand it - it's
Been fine, then I drive the exact same way and it flashes on. It's only under load..

Maybe a silly question, but as this didn't happen when mapped, is it worth getting it put back on to see what happens ? Or is that asking for trouble ?

Sorry to hear that guys. I've just got the call so I'll be picking mine up in a couple of hours. My fingers are tightly crossed!
That's a real shame Boc-Chris, keep us in the loop.
Damianmkv, I'm guessing again but the map will only accelerate the underlying problem so if it was me I would accelerate away! Get as much done in warranty as possible.

Got my car back today and generally I'm pleased with the work, although they did knacker my parcel shelf clips so I'll be complaining about that tomorrow.
No sign of problems yet but it's still very early days.

The 1 thing I'm not sure about is if the map is still on there?
The garage claims they only changed the engine but could they have reset the ECU or replaced it with the engine?
The head tech wasn't in today and everyone else seems to fob me off so I'll call again tomorrow.

..picked my Boc up from the dealer, been there for three weeks with similar problems to you guys, supposedly all fixed, take it out for its first good run and hey presto exactly the same fault as before, absolutley no different.

Garage say the only way I can get a loan car is to go through Seat Assist again even tho they have failed to fix it.

Thats 8 weeks in the garage since I got it in April :-(

Damn and bloomin' blast !!!!!!!!'

Foot down slightly today on a dual carriageway ( doing 50 ), then I get the EML and for the first time the EPC and the car goes into limp mode.

It's now back at the dealers - VCDS shows a misfire on 3 and 4..

Wonder what loaner I'll get tomorrow ?

Got a Focus with no brakes ! That's gone back and been replaced with a Golf...

Anyway, tomorrow Revo are reloading the original
factory map back on the car to see if this cures it..

Are you not worried about a garage that gives a car out without brakes? lol

Rang my dealer today and spoke to the head tech who said that they did do 2 software updates, which explains why my car is sluggish as the Revos gone! Annoys me though as I specifically asked the guy at the service desk 'did you do anything other than replace the engine like software updates etc?' Answer = 'No'.

Looks like a trip to Northampton motorsport again when I get the software updates in writing. They said they'd put it back on any time as long as i've got it in writing.

Hope your Revo sorts it out

The Focus came from Europcar...I think it scared the bloke who collected it as he didn't stop until mid junction when he left...

My Revo agent has an issue with their 1.4 and the knock sensor problem so becareful

Not really from me as my car is running fine atm.
Getting Revo put back on in January now probably as I wont have time over xmas, plus I have to wait for the paperwork from the garage to show to the Revo people.

Hows yours with the Revo?

Its been a bit quiet...

The dealer called today and said that the Revo agent told them he'd returned the car to standard and everything was fine. So the dealer had a look and couldn't see that he'd done anything ( which they wouldn't as Revo doesn't alter te flash counter ).

So the tech took it home last night and said it was still rubbish, full of faults and EML lights.

They've now ordered a new ECU and have said if VW won't cover the cost, I'll be getting the bill.

I had the EPC problem on my polo and it used to limp and stall when you pull up to junctions.

VW looked at it about 3 times, cleaned the throttle body the problems continued for a while then disappeared.....for 5 years!!

Until I put V-power in it and it began stalling again, but no EPC or limp mode.

Could it be something to do with the fuel used?

I ran mine for 11 months on Tesco momentum and had 5 EML occurrences in 17000 miles.

Since the 24S4 update, the car won't run - it's even now on shell

Ah man that sucks!
Well be sure that you tell your dealer if the new ECU doesn't fix the problem you will be taking your money back. My garage have agreed to the £70 refund for the oil they thought might fix my engine.
My car had 2 new software updates and its running fine on V-Power. Does seem dull without the Revo atm tho.

Tbh guys its sounding like a common fault, they seem to be changing everything that is linking to the faults your getting. theres nothing about it on elsa that describes these faults and with no fault codes and no help from seat its just stabbing in the dark now, feel sorry for the techs lol. i think theres somthing about injectors on there so might read it.

Is a right shitter that some of you have been in so many times, ive never had a tsi come in my workshop for this fault yet and its very strange theres no fault codes. feel for you guys but it does sound like they are changing somthing new everytime. keep us updated.

btw what fuel are all of you using? and what oil to top up with?
