Your ecu adapts to the way you drive the car and the fuel it is run on etc. I BELIEVE that you can reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for a while and turning the key to ignition or through VAG COM.....better check that though!
Hi all, sounds like your having loads of fun with all this. Thought I would make a couple of suggestions.
Remember seat read scn.
Remove revo from your car and do not let seat know it was there. Put it back on once the car is fixed
Document every conversation, item of work, phone call, etc include date, time, full name and full details of each discussion.
Agree mileage limits for any Road trip..... 200miles and not fixed is taking the p@ss.
Let them know any mileage over the agreed limit is chargeable at the government agreed 40p per mile.
Agree a date when all problems with the vehicle are to be rectified by.
Ask to raise the issues with your vehicle with the dealer principle and ask for a meeting with them and the service director to agree all of the above.
Read your warranty so you know what your talking about.
If someone feeds you crap, tell the dealer principle and service director and refuse to deal with that person again.
Write a letter to seat uk and copy your dealer princiPle, send it registered post and demand a response within 14 days,
Read the sale of goods act 1974 and quote it in all correspondence.
Good luck guys.
Steve.
I've already wrote a letter to seat uk and dealt with trading standards and the sale of goods act etc, but got a reply saying all they will do is try and fix my car.
Good stuff. I've done 360 miles in the last week mine with no issues ( mainly driving like a granny with helium slippers )....
