Absolutely love the car. Very original and carried off perfectly. Great to see someone having the balls to do something tongue in cheek.
She's a beaut and a motor to be proud of.

Well she is parked up in Ian Bishops workshop now for some pampering, it's long overdue an oil change so the treacle will come out and be replaced along with the filter and then she is going as low as possible without ruining the function of the suspension components (too low means it will drive like a bag and i do too many miles to drive a bag) then the camber / alignment getting set and hey presto she is complete :)

Well the car went to Iain Bishop for a timing belt and once over, the rear brakes were not working at all, seized up so it took a full days labour to get the brakes took apart and rebuilt with all new parts so a huge thanks to Iain for that he also replaced the alternator and power steering belts as they were showing age so that's the car fit for another 100k miles now mechanically :)

gave it a good aul wash inside and out today and then took into the underside of the bonnet. It was covered in a protective grease which clay bar couldn't shift never mind polish so i hit it with two thick coats of tar & glue remover today, let it soak each time then rub off with a mutton rag, followed by a wash with soapy water & sponge then polished with turtle wax and treated to two coats of carnuaba wax to seal it and hopefully make it easier to keep clean

Well another update which was meant to be done ages ago, the lamin X'd lamps are now wired up, I wired them off the main beam so they act as "driving lamps" rather than fog lamps as lets face it, there is about 2 days in a year when fogs would actually come in handy where as i would fins better main beams more important :D

Also gave it a coat of pure carnuaba and repainted the fogs lamp surrounds in satin black again as they had mega stone chips on them with the lime green peeping through hehe

So when the police pull you over for driving with fog lamps on, how will you stop getting £30 fines?

Well last weekend I took to the road with over a 500 mile round trip to Cork for Modified Motors Live show, On route I achieved a new high speed in the car which was a shock to me to say the least considering she was running a full load in the rear for camping etc

RMS won "Best Club Stand" at the show which made the trip very worthwhile and young Sean in the red and white corsa got "Best Interior" so all round we done well.

Another show update folks from the MCar show at the Kings Hall in Belfast

Up on the balcony of the main hall

Meeke | Nagle won the IRC this year so I felt obliged to put a wee thing on the heap in support of them
IMG_9394.JPG

Then i was handed a bottle of "simply cocaine" which is apparently been removed from shelves due to it's name so i had to use it for some giggles (since this is what the heaps about)
IMG_9391.JPG

Next up is Modified Motors Live at Punchestown this Sunday and that's the season over and you will all be glad to hear the last update for "the heap" :)

Well it must have been fate, since I started getting involved in the scene 10 years ago my aim was to have my own car on display upstairs in the Kings Hall and as it turns out the MCar show was to be "The Heaps" last show.

The day before MM Live @ Punchestown a part on the clutch pedal broke meaning the car wasn't fit to make it to what I had planned being it's last show, the car was built for a giggle and to mess about with for a year and to get RMS back onto the mainstream scene.

So all that's left is for me to do a photo shoot of the car and then it's back to being an uncared for work cow until the day she gets sold (whenever that may be) so this is the car sitting in the garage looking sorry for itself lol

you will also be glad to hear this is the last online update I will do on the car, hopefully it will have black leather up front very soon, but apart from that she is staying as is :)

cheers for the smiles this aul doll has given many HAHA

Scene Points???
