I used them a couple of years back when i built a driving cockpit for my stepson. They work really well and are very cheap. Here are some pics.

They are sealed in a flexible plastic so i imagine 100% waterproof.

They aren't door handle lights but interior lights.

Quite proud of my handywork! Took Footwell LED's out to change for red ones when they arrive, then i will have a go at putting some red LED's in the door pockets, or maybe in interior door handle, haven't decided yet

My misses Mini has orange footwell lights and a small orange light which lights up the inside door pull as standard. They look real nice and classy when you open the door and then fade a few seconds after you close it.

Wish we had something like that from Seat :cry:

That's why the seat was a lot cheaper though! My grandad had a new mini and it rattled like hell... I want the footwell and puddle lights though ha ha
