Northants.
Just ordered the following:

Front Bumper
Splitter
Standard Exhaust

From my local Seat Dealer - SMC in Windsor. Spoke to Gurdev in Parts, very helpful guy so if you are local I recommend them.

Bumpers, exhaust and neons have gone down very well at work, I'm the butt of the jokes today!

Looks promising!

How much was the standard exhaust?

Debating If I should get mine from the dealer

Picked up the standard exhaust today and fitted it tonight..

Here are some pics so you can get an idea to why the Powerflow one was so very very loud..

As you can see.. slight difference there!
The only problem encountered was that when the powerflow was installed, the usual sleeve clamp was done away with in favour of larger diameter tubing and a single clamp. Hadn't considered this so only got the one sleeve clap to join the middle and back box.

So we manufactured one up and it seemed to do the job. However, whilst on the obligatory test drive I noticed a bit of a knock. Once the oil temp was suitable I gave it a bit more welly and it knocked very badly in 1st 2nd and 3rd.
Narrowed it down to be the same area that the home made clamp was.. arse! Either the clamp is doing the job and it's knocking nearby or it's not doing the job and I need to get a proper one. Either way i think a proper one is best.

On the plus side it drives so much better! Also it gave me a chance to have a good look under the car and it's all good. However, the bumper installation was a little, well.. crap! Looking forward to getting rid of those..

So stage one is complete and now the bumpers have arrived I can get them sprayed.

Nice one! I love putting original bits on!!

Does the new exhaust have an exit pipe exactly like the one below! (obviously without the rust/holes!!!). What diameter is the exit?

I looked at getting a replacement Bosal back box from a factors and the exit pipe looked like roughly sawn scafolding!!:(

Yeah that's exactly what mine looks like. Although I'm not sure what the diameter is I'm fairly sure it's the same as in the pic.

I got this direct from Seat but it is a Bosal part. This page is from their website..http://www.catalogue.bosal.com/pages/exh_select_order_list.php?query_nr=20&sysnr=07397150

Interestingly they don't list the 150bhp 16v.. only the 115bhp 8v.. I take it this is because the exhaust systems are the same?

Looks like I need part 265-119 to potentially stop the knocking.

8vs and 16vs have different exhaust, but according to the Arvin Timax site, they have the same pipe diameter between the middle and back boxes.

It's a 6mm difference between lower and higher spec, if I remember rightly.

Someone earlier was asking for a decent quality pattern one. My Arvin Timax one is well made and took very little effort to fit! :)

Is the rear bumper really that bad?

If the exhaust was better and it had black mesh, and the car was lower it might suit it better.

Surely it would of been cheaper to fit a quieter s/steel system?

And what's this front bumper like?

The rear bumper was fitted and sprayed badly.. hence why I want to get rid of it!

I looked into a quieter stainless system but I couldn't find anything that I liked, I'm a fussy git!!

Still no pics of the front bumper.. won't do that until it comes off I think.

Got the stupid neons out tonight and did a little tidying up. There were various bits of internal trim that needed sorting out. Gimp aftermarket pedals have also gone. Found them in that secret glove box under the dash that I never knew about! Cunning..

Head unit is also in and suits the whole look quite nicely. Seeing the magic paint man this weekend to get a quote for the front bumper and the rear bumper.

Will get some progress pics at the weekend.

Got a new bee sting aerial sorted. Bought a cheap one from halfords in Silver and got my buddy to Anodise it black at work..

Hey presto.. nice tidy aerial instead of a massive horse whip!

Looks much tidier on the car than the old one..

Oh.. the old one has now become a control device for the receptionist at work.. she loves it.. ha ha!

Got a quote for a CAT 2 Alarm via a mate today.. £90 fitted.. score!! It's gonna be a Toad, can't remember the model number off the top of my head.

Got outbid on some fogs last night.. well annoyed!

Hey how u get a replacement ariel? Think my mate had the halfords one and when i tried to fit to mine had no luck. Was your original the one that unscrewed and lay on the roof? Though my problem may be the base on the roof of my car :(
