looks good mate bet its a tight fiit with that huge turbo and the bulkhead

yes hope all geos well as it sits very high compared to the standard turbos but the mk3 has a fair bit of room at the back of the engine but good luck with it!

1900 je pistons, cat cams (not fitted yet), home ported large port head/inlet , gt3076r, 630cc injectors, custom exhaust manifold, custom dp, modified tt cats, pauter rods, agu crank.

Lol, just wondered when i saw the exhaust wheel with no flapper in site :D Are you doing a trial fit to decide the placement of the wastegate?

yes, making the downpipe in 2 halves this time around, so making the exhaust and adding the wastegate 'shouldnt' be a problem. have the cat section made up into the engine bay (you can just see the end of it sticking out in the pic. the end is getting closer, ready and waiting for gearbox tomorrow night.

Given that I have to do this soon - how are you getting the engine back in? humping it along & up using pillows, or a crane?

I can't decide what's going to be the erm... cheapest

How heavy is the engine on it's own and does the sump take it?

mmmmmmmmmm, tbh the engine isnt going anywhere, the mountain comes to mohammed. engine is around the right height so assuming the rear brakes are free......you get the picture.

pics for clicks
