Yes it does.
You have to manually flick the toggle down to "re-awaken" it.

oh good, didnt fancy scrolling though the menu to select the same display everytime i start the car. glad i didnt get a nomad pod and gauges now, this seems like a great piece of kit, cant wait to get it now. thanks for the info

Six months after I first saw one of these I finally bit the bullet and bought one. All I can say is I wish that I had done it 6 months ago. It's an awesome piece of kit!

And my oil temp works.

I'm on the verge of buying one and will go for the full kit.
The way i see it is, the extra cost of the kit will be recovered when you sell it on latter so save yourselves the headache and buy the full kit.

Next on my shopping list. Though I would like it to fit one of the middle two vents instead of the drivers side one...

I had originally wanted mine there but to be honest i think it would look a bit lost. The gauge is very small, and the centre vents are bigger than the side vent. Dont think it would look good.

I personally think it looks perfect mounted in the drivers air vent.

hello people, quick question to the LG users, regarding TORQUE readings...

i understand there are two ways the device can read torque...

You can set it to read via T for torque, or M for maf

strange figures on my mapped LCR,

T figures = 275
M figures = 237

The next step would be to question the MAF, but ive recently had it replaced and the g/s figures are around 195 (which is normal for a mapped LCR)

where does the device calculate the figures when set to T for torque?

anyone else had strange readings?

I'm not really sure how it calculates it, might be worth emailing them to ask, but my figures seem pretty consistent and good.

How do you change how it measures torque? I'll see if there is any difference in mine.

Your MAF figures seem a little low. Are you running standard airbox/filter? It's worth getting an open cone filter and you should see over 205g/s depending what you get.

BHP & Torque Calculation mode
When in the BHP gauge, hold the joystick right to toggle between the MAF method
and the ECU Torque method, the selected method is indicated by a light grey “M” or
“T” in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
For Petrol cars the default is to use the MAF method.
For Diesel cars the default is to use the ECU Torque method.
Not sure which i am using tbh.

Interesting, Isn't there any SOFTWARE that does all the reading's this does, available to be used via a VAG-COM cable, in theory it SHOULD be possible, that way you could install a small netbook / pc in the car with a bigger screen etc etc.

Awesome bit of kit though!, I think I want one :joystick:

VAGCOM itself?

Boom, as lee said...
you will have to go into 'BHP' mode to change from M to T in the first place

then back into 'torque' mode to test it...

it would be interesting to see if anyone else gets strange readings from M & T

unfortuantly, i havnt installed a replacement air filter....
if i did, my MAF readings would rise above 205ish........which seems perfectly fine for a Stage 1 mapped car.

the investigation continues :)

LEE,
when your in BHP or TORQUE mode, have a very close look at the BOTTOM LEFT hand side of the screen. you will see either M or T displayed on there...
