I'm not sure if i have a problem with my car. The temp gauge (coolant) on my liquid gauge goes upto 110 0C then the fans cut in and the gauge shows 98 0C when in traffic. The Gauge on the dash does not move of 90 0C! I'm worried the engine is getting to hot! If i put the air con on the gauge sits at 85 0 C. Could have a problem with my fans? The next thing is if i didn't have the gauge i would not of known there was a problem! What are your thoughts?

Mine never goes over 92 even in traffic, there is a lot of discrepancy between the dash gauge and an after-market "reading" which in my experience is always far more accurate.

what about the old climate control reading using number 51?

Mine always sits at smack on 90 on there, even when the dash needle goes slightly above and the fans kick in...... how accurate is that supposed to be?

so also pretty useless

mind you, having said that... doesnt match the dash while warming up.. dash races ahead by a country mile... where does the climate take it's feed from? is there a sensor in the coolant pipes which actually pass through the heating system?

I've had mine fitted a little while now and its great. The fiberglass gauge housing needed a little bit of TLC to fit perfectly and even now it doesn't fit completly flush on the end nearest the drivers door. I do feel that the joystick is recessed a little too much, it only prutrudes about 1mm, how much does yours prutrude past the housing.

wow thats cool! very tempted....

is it easy enough to feed the wiring from the back of the unit down to the ashtray port? does it go behind the dash?

I have checked the fans as to other threads and they seem to be working ok. Also have a new water pump and thermosate, any ideas? Thanks
