Fitting a dash mounted Aux Power Socket

I've got a Sat Nav that I want to power from a power socket. The standard fitted cigarette socket in the central consol of my FR is in a REALLY stupid place 'cos it means that the power cable hangs over the gear stick.

Has anyone fitted an additional socket on the dash? If so, where & where did you get the power feed from?

I had same problem, got switched socket extension(Halfords) and ran it from socket in rear of car and hid cable under centre console.

That would work if I had the 2nd socket - from several other threads, it would appear that a 2nd socket is a minorty fit.
