Aimez, if you want the splitter to look flat rather than drooping in the middle you need to trim down the 2 post in the middle "V's".

You need to trim the V's down by 10mm, they are 20mm so really it's just a case of cutting them down to half size.

Think i need to post a pic of how it looks now to explain cos I reall don't understand what you guys are saying?! Prob cos it was on Rich td's car and he already cut them to the shape of the Leon bumper maybe it's ruined.

Well its on ,the actual fitting was nt hat hard ,took about 1 1/2 hours, but i then spent about another 1 1/2 hours pissing around with the silicone even though i didnt have much of a gap.But im mister fussy and wanted to look right.Dont realy like using the stuff but it does cover any little gaps. Will post a pic tomos.Glad i did it though, recon it finishes the bottom edge off nicley.

you'll be glad with silicone...not only does it cover any gaps (in my case there are none) but stops any grit getting wedged in above it (in my case i have quite a bit)

The two bits that stick up in the middle actually slot into the bumper of an LCR but not on the Ibiza. They need to be cut down to about half of their height so that the whole splitter will fit level with the bottom of the bumper. The middle piuc shows the reverse of the splitter and the self-tapping screws I fitted before offering it up to the bumper for fitting. The bottom picture shows how it fits now.

from those pics the v's have been cut very straight, hence why it looks a bit naff...but no need for screws there as shown in gooner mike's post

so do you need to cut it with abit of a slant so where the v's have been cut they fit flush with the underneath of the bumper???

ye, bit of slant...but doesn't really need to be perfect as nobody will look at it from the ground so not noticeable to the average jo

oh...and cutting them at +/- equal height will help as well (unlike Aimez's left-side v shown above) :cartman:

God talk about a tuff job.Being MR Pernickity ,i wasnt happy with the bead of black silicone that i put in the gap to tidy things up.I hate using the stuff! and i just couldnt get a smooth bead.It so doesnt look profeshional.Anyways took the splitter off again and have just spent 2 and abit hours getting the cured silicone off the bottom of the bumper.:censored:This time im going to run a small bead of silicone along the flat edge of the splitter so that when i screw it back on the slicone will scweeze and fill the gap rather than trying to force it in to the gap. This way i recon there will be minimum mess and a realy small bead.I might stick black tape to the underside of the bumper so the silicone sticks to that ,this way if it comes off the silicone will only be on the tape, what do you recon?

as aimez and I said fozworth...nobody will go on their knees and look for the way it rests on the bumper.

just make sure it's level and evenly measured out accordingly to the bumper and will look mint, don't forget it's a Leon accessory so isn't made to look perfect on the Ibiza

I am like that about things on my car people at work think I am a weird person about my car! But it will never look perfect at least you won't have the middle bits looking like mine lol. Think I will Velcro them to the bumper now actually!
