I would go with the uni tbh, there isnt a great deal of difference as the size and thickness of the uni is compartive to the face area of a forge so you wont see a great deal of difference considering more face area of the uni is actually shown because there is less bumper to block it.

the biggest difference is really going to come from the pipework used from the turbo all the way to the intake manifold since thats where most pressure is lost and heat is gained shielding the intake pipe after the intercooler from the off-turbo pipe is something im surprised more people dont do to prevent heat transfer across the engine bay.

its an interesting debate at the end of the day and it goes down to individual decision but its like putting an evo against the ibiza cupra

360 bhp evo ... £27000 new
156 bhp ibiza cupra (was what £15000 but can get to 300+bhp by spending under £2000? assuming no parts are faulty)

I agree with mikey kc on this, is it really worth buying a forge setup for around the £700 mark, maybe more if you paid to get it fitted, on a car which ur gona sell for around £3500 ish, lets face it my ths uni intercooler with pipework cost me £200 all in and about 5 hours for me to fit it and it does the job perfectly, at the end of the day any uprated intercooler is going to be better than the standard one, and also the forge one does look the tits agreed but, unless u mod the bumper there is still roughly the same surface (or core) being exposed to the air. It really depends on how much u want to spend on ur motor, ive not even spent 700 quid on my cupra and i have a cat back exhaust, intercooler, cold air kit, forge split r, lowered it (koni springs tho) and had my wheels sprayed balck, oh and fitted boost gauge, and when i get it remapped i would have spent 1k on her, and running about 200bhp. So all depends how much and how long you want to keep it??
