howdy guys, thread revival!!!!!! (been searching :D)

what pipework does the forge cooler come with? and does it come with clamps?

basically i have a uni cooler and the pipework blew off last week (thanks to the horrificly cheap jubilees) and im half thinking of replacing the whole lot!

although i cant afford the £750 i may drop them a pm to see if they can sort something out!

cheers

why? whats wrong with the Uni one?

Hear a lot of folks say how good they are for teh price etc, but never hear a "review" after x-amount of time of having one! is it not holding up anymore or summat

Ok for the price they are a good piece of kit, but it is not the easiest piece of kit to get sitting nicely. I modified my crash bar and made up my own brackets, all of which come with the Forge cooler. At the time i couldnt afford a Forge cooler and still cant, just really want one. Maybe its the brand name aswell!?!?

I want a forge too now jut wish they were a bit cheaper!! I could justify maybe £600 but not £700

Maybe we should say we both want one, maybe they'll do a deal?

Do the forge pipes run the same route too? Or are they different?

I cant compare to the uni one as i dont have one, but my Forge one has been spot on since it was fitted. Cant say a bad word against it. Forge should bring the price down abit really, then they would sell even more!! Get one Gauci, you'll love it!

The pipes run a different route, alot further away from the floor. Trust me if i could get one i would, got a track day coming up soon so need a few things before the cooler.

I'd be up for a Forge intercooler, but just haven't got the justification, think about it, for £700 is the Forge FMIC cost, but you can pick say a Uni one for £90-100, pipework £100 ish, and if you fancy even being extravagent, get a different charge pipe, solve the low pipe issue, and you've still spent less than a Forge, plus, you can get a set of shocks/springs or coilovers with the change...

That's the problem I think :/

On a side note mate, rather than upgrading to the Forge - im still not sure the price justifies it unless going for BIG power...

Why don't we all look for a GOOD QUALITY fitting kit for the Uni FMIC? From pipes to jubilee/clamps...

If we list all the parts we need, ie angles, inner dimensions etc.

(Including getting rid of any standard black pipework, map sensor pipe etc - it really shouldnt have any standard pipes around when fitting a FMIC!)

I saw that one fella yea, 4 hoses sounds like it won't be much...

Im sure for a FMIC we'd need a few angled pipes, couple of alloy joiners, some GOOD quality clamps and we should be away... We could get the MAP sensor relocation pipe directly from Forge.

In fairness, we could see maybe if Forge sell a FMIC fitting kit... As it can't be too dissimilar?

Sound good mate, we should definately get something going as I'd love a forge but the sheer cost is a shame really
