FMIC Which is best???

After discussion on the Jabba FMIC someone suggested doing some logs on different FMIC's to Compare!!!

IE. Forge vs. Jabba.

But it could be turned into a Forge vs. Jabba vs. Laguna vs. AM!!

Any one interested??

when i was looking at FMIC's the jabba was not available at the time, only their charge cooler

i originally wanted the forge, looks good, works well, good quality customer service if it broke, just wasnt to keen on using the standard piping

also looked at the laguna intercooler but that just doesnt appeal to me (no offence anyone)

had a look at AM's and they had the best of both world IMO, good core that works and decent madrel bent pipework that looks the shizzle (plus i got mine at a special price)

all the above intercooler work, its just which one YOU prefer

i think you can only find out which is best if you have the same car, same rollers, and do logs on them all

Thats what is trying to be sorted.

Have to be same spec obviously. Logs on all to see which is the best.

I'd be happy tto drive to wales again to see the results!!!!

also down to fitment and how much you are prepared to chop away to make a FMIC fit, or whether DIY fitment is important to you or not.

couple of other factors to throw into the mix.

comparing different FMIC's on different cars on different days etc etc etc is a lottery.

does anyone on scn even have a jabba cooler on a standard or remapped car
iv not heard of anyone with one that hasnt gone BT

i just cant see it performance wise making any difference over a forge kit unless the heat or pressure being produced by the turbo is stressing the cooler.

madmile runs the jabba cooler but he is ihi, i dont know of anyone running it who is still on a k0x based car

for the price i cant understand why you'd bother, although im aware i could be contradicting myself because of the number of times iv said id rather pay more to get a proper kit than save money and bodge my own

but still when its 200quid over the price of a forge kit, and i know that even if i decided to go k03S the forge kit would still be fine, theres no way id pay extra (even if i slightly prefer having the inlet/outlet on the sides rather than hidden at the back

madmile used to run the forge under ihi i think, struggled to get temps below 50, with the jabba he is seeing 30's

i think custardcupra runs the forge still under ihi, correct me if im wrong

Not the pace charge cooler they both used to run then?

I don't recall either having an fmic before the pro-alloy one

iirc custard had a FMIC on the RR day, looks like he had a spray kit also on it, and as said, Madmile is running the jabba/pro-alloy one

dont know what they were running beforehand sorry mate
