Car been repaired after minor rear end shunt. Looks fine except they fitted silver TD red I badge. I questioned this and they said they took the chasis number to get the parts. Just wondering if this should be something to worry about/check out further. Is there anything I can check to verify not a say 110 that has been remapped. They posted me a full red TDI but think I'll leave silver/red on for now .repair done at vag approved centre

errmmm....your registration documents? Surely a quick glance at that will tell you everything.

I didn't realise FR's had a TDI badge on the back.

De badge it and be done with it. :)

I agree.

With regards to seat tdi badge colours and bhp

90 none pd - all silver

105 pd - all silver

110 none pd - red "I"

130 pd - red "D + I"

140 pd - as above

150 and 160 - all red

The leon FR had the 150 engine but the ibiza FR had the 130, so if your car is an ibiza it would only have 2 red letters.

Car is a leon - just wanted to make sure that car is what it was sold/registered as, hence question regards things i could check say engine code etc.

original red TDI badge had turned pink anyway (was going to paint black) think will leave current badges on to amuse myself with boy racers et el :)
