This might sound a silly question but does anybody know how to get the aerial off the car. I keep unscrewing it, but thats all it does, so how does it come off completely.

Once it is totally un-screwed then it just needs a good pull. It takes a few trys but it does come off.

i tried the idea off completely unscrewing the aerial and pulling it 2 or 3 times but it did not work the roof started bowing in an out.
has anyone got any other ideas.

have a gander around the Mk1 area, that seems to be the common thing.
it does bow, just tug harder and it will come

use a pair of long nose plyers on the exposed thread bit and leaver it off

it is held in with a small rubber o ring

one hand on roof and tug with the other , it will come of just got a anti theft nobble on the end
