Is there something poking out from the front passenger side arch?
Only ask this as i've had 2 sets of wheels (standard 16" fr rims and 17" wolfrace) on my car since i got it and both times when i've taken them off the inside of the tyre has been worn down to bare thread (sorry dont know the correct term but its the bit under the rubber on the tyre - near blow out time).
Its not happening on the right side only the left. Cars not pulling to one side or anything and alignments ok, so i near sh*t when i seen it as looking at the tyre normally it looks ok and still a good bit of thread left.

Sounds bad, my mate had this on his polo exept both his front wheels (inner edge) were worn down to the metal thread!!
He took it to get the tracking and alignment done and they said that the measurements were not too far off, not enough to cause the excessive wear. They suggested that mabye the car had been in an accident before and something got bent. Mabye your cars been in a knock? I'd take the wheel off and have a look at the wishbone etc to see if anything looks bent or damaged.

could be worn bushes this causes uneven tyre wear it is a common fault on ibiza's
your car has been lowered what was changed??

It happened on the car before it was lowered and it is happening still now its lowered. It was just the springs changed

Bushes dear to get fixed?

On the phone to the fella that lowered the car. He said hes near certain its the chamber just needs sorted. Fingers crossed

well it definatly is the camber of course it is hense the wear on inner edge

but this is not THAT adjustable) what i mean by this is that the camber IS NOT AJUSTABLE on the ibiza's but you can losen mechancal parts and get adjustment on the bolt slack but it is very limited!!!!

Absolutely crappin myself now i've saw the state of the tire. Me thinks i'll not be going over 20 mph until its fixed.
Real bad time for it to happen coming upto xmas and i'm away to the Dam next week. Atleast i've a spare alloy with tyre for the left side. (knew there was some logic to buying 5 alloys and tyres lol )

Wots ur suggestion then Rash? I see wot you mean about the camber, every garage i rang said they can look at it but can adjust it. Does this mean it needs a new one?

the only thing i can suggest to you is take it to this garage and get the camber as good as they can buy as i say slackening off bolts then using a leaver bar force into a better camber position and then retighten the bolts when leavering it will make it better then after this have all the tracking done and get your tyres replaced,

every week keep an eye on your tread depth on the inner edge especially if you notice its wearing down unevenly again get the front bushes changed/uprated

if the problem STILL persits report back

It will more than likely still do it, evne with a perfect set up for suspension. If you have done more than 10,000 miles on standard FR bushes, then they are knackered and need replacing!

Go for cupra solid bushes, and you might aswell fit powerflex bushes so you cover front and back matey :)

^^^adjusting the camber as much as you can will slow this uneven wear problem by quite a bit! funny this as when i had standard suspension i used to get uneven wear then i ripped all the suspension out and replaced with shiney coilovers and setmy camber up as best i could and ive not had a problem since! they wear evenly over whole suface of tyre and last alot longer still pulls left ever so slightly but i aint bothered ;)

Sorry for thread jacking. Rash, does your car pull to the left with the wheel in the strait position. I am having to hold my steering wheel slightly to the right to keep it going strati down the road. What would you all suggest to cure this as best as possible?

my steering wheel when held stright goes straight as an arrow but when i take both hands off the wheel it pulls left slightly (the camber in the road doesnt help )
but if your steering wheel isnt straight when going in a straight line your tracking needs adjusting ;)
