UK prices are always around double the price of the US for comparable parts, I don't know why

BTW that kinetic kit looks different than usual kits - it reroutes all the pipes in an unusual way - I don't know if it will fit alongside an induction kit and any BOV's\Diverter valves... plus with the metal pipes above the engine, wouldn't that increase intake temps? I imagine the pipe would get very hot..

seems better to route the pipes around the bottom of the engine as OEM is - like the EIP kit
and most of its hidden behind the crash bar,at least others have a good part under the crash bar exposed.
any figures to back this one up?.wouldn't be on my wish list.pay cheap pay twice(sometimes!!! before you laguna boys have a pop)

well not being funny the one he done has the same engine as ours so dont see why it should be different plus theres more room to mount it!!

Gonna keep an eye on this, premade kits are a bit too much cash for me. I take you have a solution to the intercooler exit being on the wrong side, is there enough space to just run a pipe across the same as on the ibiza?

if you want to know more details see the above thread and pm the guys that were involved as i dont know the ins and outs but there a good bunch and will help no end!

thats was what i was wondering. stretch, the inlet are different sides on leon/ibiza,so the pipe work route IS different.i am genuinely interested how he/they gets on,i'm all for DIY mods, amd if it saves me a few hundred smelly ones then i'm in.

route isnt too much different as the pipework and inlet mfold goes same way, no reason why it cant be done :)

Indeed me and stretch will be the first on a leon, plenty of room, more room that on the mk3 ibiza!

They work 100%, many people slate them, but they are 500 quid cheaper!

Where theses a will theres a way! ;)

Exactly same engine esp the 180 leon cupra, so you could always route it like the mk3 anyways, luckily me and stretch have brains ;)

inlets are on apossing sides, not that that will make a difference to you and your brains ;)

not a great deal of room to go up and over the airbox/MAF

what you mean not much room up and over??
*using the laguna one means the outlet is either going over the engine ala' ibiza or underneath(not an otpion imho),or round the back towards the standard pipework, which means a 180 degree bend on the outlet.
* this is just me thinking it through,i've not even located half the pipe work on my vrs yet ,so i could well be talking bullcack

EDIT:i may have had too much cider(1 pint) thats not the return from the intercooler up and over the ibiza engine?what is it?
see,i told you i was talking bollox.

yeh, i'm with Jase on this one - the inlet manifold on the ibiza is the other end i thought, and so you'd be fine for pipework. But with the Leon, the tb is on the same side as the SMIC (driver side) and so you'd have to get the passenger side exit on the laguna intercooler across the enginebay, and then do a 180 degree bend of some form back onto the inlet manifold. And after looking into my engine bay, i can't see where there's really that much room to run said hose, without crossing the rad, and these cars get hot enough with an FMIC, let alone extra pipework across it as well.

has anybody got a photo of the forge FMIC for the leon with pipework laid out? im sure they have to use bends too for theirs! wont be far off that rotue to be honest.

The LCR has the inlet manif the same side, the LC is passenger side due to the SMIC yeah, but pipework is easy to fabricate providing you dont make it restrictive.

Ill look into it

Well i'll prob be getting mine done in a few weeks or so, so look out for my thread and flash is pretty sure to that it wont be a problem, i'll being doing photos and stuff for all my lovely mods!!
