I'm a little concerned about my front passenger seatbelt. I don't think it's locking properly when the car stops suddenly. With my seat belt when I slam on the brakes, for instance, the belt locks and holds me in place. But in the passenger side this doesn't happen and whoever is sat there leans right forward.

As an example, yesterday I wanted to test my brakes as I wasn't 100% confident in them. I had the other half in the car with me, in the front passenger seat, and when I slammed on the brakes I stayed put but she moved right forward.

Does this sound normal? Is it just a case of needing more than that to lock them? Or is there likely to be a problem somewhere?

Cheers

Set height to highest position. Pulled seatbelt out (as if putting it on) Noticed that the adjuster slid down instaed of staying locked. Lucky I notices as warranty runs out in a few weeks.
