Front Speaker Size Query

I've done searches on here for definate answers but i'm unsure what size my front speakers are as i am wanting to replace them for a set of JL Audio components. I've read that a spacer and speaker wire convertor would be needed also, can someone please kindly clarify

16-17cms will be fine.

You will need an adaptor for the speaker to mount it properly (I've used some MDF rings), although the tweeters should be a straight swap.

There are 4 standard wires going into the stock speaker IIRC, but they can be spliced into standard cable as necessary so I don't think you need anything special there!

i know that pioneer do a section on their web page that sells direct replacements - will probably contain all you need

i'v got some 6.5 phonix gold that the shop said would fit in2 my leon.

Yep according to Pioneer (cheers oldman) 6.5 or 6 will fit with a spacer, there are some on ebay now that include the wiring loom section so no cutting needed
