Went for a spin last night to log before I start to give it a go with unisettings. When logging g/s I only see max of 159.66 after a full run in 3rd. I thing this is abit low compared to others on here. Could the reason be my enclosed dynatwist? and mybe a jetex would free up some ekstra air? My car is a k03s, revo stg2, fmic, turbo back(200cell race), profec ebc, and of course Dynatwist. Filter was cleaned not long ago. I´m guessing it´s not cos of the volcano dust either:D

Remove the outer casing on the dynatwist and see how it logs. I found it increased my g/s.

Also ambient temps will affect it.

The dynatwist doesn't flow very well, a large Jetex will flow noticeably more.

Yeah was thinking the same that it might flow some more without the casing, so I´ll see some lower ambient temps? My thoughts where that more warm air was sucked in then.

So I might give bill a ring for a new filter, will be interesting to see how much in difference.

Philw your seeing close to 200 g/s right?

Sounds low for a k03s, I'm getting 160gms on a k03, I've got an open Green cone filter by the way. Try it with the casing off or see if you can borrow oa cone from someone maybe?

Yeah I totaly agree with you. Will do some logging soon and post the result. The car goes well thou, but I feel I can hear it struggling to get more air under load when I put my windows down.

i have 164 gs prebs with revo stage2 on ko3 turbo with B6T6:D

I would def say something isnt right then. Witch filter are you on tarzan?

Id log it without the shield out of interest anyway.


196g/s is my highest. HB9 T9 with lemmiwinks and Greddy Profec settings.
 
Just bin out to log but to much heavy traffic, did only see 166 g/s (5200rpm in 3rd) (B9 T9 and greddy profec aswell) withou the shield on the dynatwist. Will wait untill later when less traffic.

Philw: Do you have some recent logs to compare?

huge filter from kimmit-sport but want a jetex filter maybe order two togther??
 
Manage to get 169.86 g/s in the end with shield of on the dynatwist. It def feels crisper but I noticed something that could remind me of "turbo surge" a few times when I got of the boost higher up the gear under load during hill climbing etc as the sound in the car is A LOT louder now almost ridiculous loud. Actual boost is a bit higer the requested but not that much.

Will see if manage to post up the logs. Im not satisfied with 169/86 g/s as it was my best run in 3rd so either is my maf on its way out or the green filter isn´t coping.

What do you fellas recon(logs coming soon)?

an XL dynatwist is larger than a JR is.. so I doubt its not coping unless its dirty/clogged with ****

how the fcuk did you get a k03s to achieve that??

I have only had one K03s car break the 190bhp (surprisingly from a stage 1 remap on mk4 ibiza)

~245bhp region... from that rule of thumb airflow calc.. :thumbup:
 
Got my new maf today and manage to get 185 g/s at the most in 3rd (without shield), couldt do any logs in higher gear as it ways raining like mad outside but it looks like my old maf was on its way out. Glad I did some logging or else I would never noticed. Will put the dynatwist shiled back on and see how much difference I get in g/s.

I still hear something that reminds me of surge thou now and then but not sure it is. Never noticed this when heat shield was on. Could my forge 007 spring be to hard?

4hth gear repeatable high 180s low 190's. DPJ has also seen those figures on the MAF. Might have something to do with the 1 foot straight tube from filter to MAF to get good airflow.

Logged AFR's are all 11.2-11.9 on high rpm as well.

Ill dig out some logs now.
 


Thanks philw, great logs, looks like you´ve got a healty engine there(all ready to go BT). I def think that a tube making some distance between filter and maf is making the readings a bit higher/accurate. Ive tried to post up my recent logs but hopefully "Tarzan" will help me out on that so we can compare as Im almost identical setup except I run miltek TB with 200cell. I´ve also raised my SET% on the profec to 87% and doing fine:)

Still courius about surge thou but as I´ve got a unsilenced k03s theres really a lot of noice under there now and a bit difficult to adress.
