Decided my car needed a good wash today, and a layer of wax before the bad weather sets in, so heres a few pics.

Used Pinnacle Souvran wax to give it a deep shine, but durability is poor with it, so i'll be topping it up with something longer lasting in a month or so.

Blimey, thats come up well clean mate, I'm liking that!!

What WAX did you use?

Bit of tyre shine, and on the splitter, would look mint ;) hehe

haha! Good stuff...

I used my special mix stuff off stuff on my car, mix of some cold water, generous AutoGlym shampoo, capful and a bit of Mer polish, and two sprays of Turtle Wax bug remover, then top up till water is warmish...Rinse car with microfibre mit and hose, then wash with 'mix' twice, rinse with hose, and dry.. Wulla!!

Does the job, gets a lovely shine on her... just need to check my stock of tyre shine and back to black type stuff lol

Besides, it'll only get dirty again, especially the back end ;)

Do you use snowfoam dave? What do you think of it?
I have used snowfoam a few times and its very good, but works best with the Karcher adapter gun. My Gilmour is very good for foaming up car shampoo, but the Karcher snow foam gun does it better.
At the moment i'm just using Megs NXT car shampoo and that does the job nicely.

Just looked at those pictures again...your car looks so sexual. Real deep "wet" and moist look. What wax you planning on next Dave?

Just seen this post as i was hunting for clean pics of my car. Sorry for late reply.

I'm currently trying to use up the old bottles i have lying around through the winter months. I have various Meg's stuff that works fairly well and lasts a bit longer than Pinnacle, but my fav at the moment is Poorboys EX. Brings the metalic out nicely and beads up for months. I'll speak to Iain (finer details) before the summer and see what he recommends for the sunny spells we might get :D
