Yea, only made by auto gauge. But not to worry I am useless. My gf found one in about 4 minutes. I spent two to three hours looking for one. Some Japanese dealer online. Same series so matches fine. Thanks for the help.

Slight change of plan regarding the gauges. Fitted the boost gauge and pod but had trouble finding the oil temp gauge to match. Took the boost gauge back and have now ordered an oil temp & boost gauge from Glowshift in America. On a bum note at some point a very charming young chap with I am sure a social security number and most probably a ASBO and tag, has stolen my front splitter! My only concern is how do I prevent him from popping around again when I get a new one? Maybe some sort of electricated wire running around it or hidden razor blades? I am open to ideas.

A little update. Gauges are nearly working correctly; think my wiring leaves something to be considered as the oil temp does not hold memory when you start the ignition however the boost gauge does and they are wired in the same. Strange!?!
I have also booked the car in with AMD for a super pro bush kit and a set of AP coilovers to be fitted. I have a feeling the bushes are well worn as turning is nowhere near as responsive as it used to be.

Razor blades on the splitter is a good call! Thieving scum!

Good move on the bushes and the coilovers mate. Will be firm but precise! I have both and can vouch for how it feels. Get it on some country roads and see what you think :D

What annoys me most is that I didnt notice it in the morning before work.

I am very much looking forward to see if I can tell the diference. However will have to be carfull on the back lanes. I ground out aready though I think my undertray is hanging down a bit. Waht do you have your set to?

Good to see another West Kent member. Have not seen your car around though will keep my eyes peeled in T. Wells.

Am off to AmD with a friend next Tues too. He has a black LCR and is having AP's fitted along with hardware for stage 2+.

Sounds like we are all in for a long day around lakeside!

I work in T Wells but get the train most days and if I do drive go through the industrial estate. How low is your mate going with the coilies? Where does he drive round?

You'll defo notice the bushes mate, might be some small vibrations at first but once you clock some miles they will go and it will settle more. It'll feel firm and stable. The steering sharper and the turn in much more precise. A superb bit of work to get done IMO. Many people overlook uprating to polybushes.

I'm not sure how low my coilovers are, I'll measure it next time I'm outside with it in daylight. It's low enough as it is. I might get it raised tbh as the splitter catches on the odd speedhump and sometimes on my drive

Both work in Tonbridge but travel around at work. He's last black LCR was on springs but I forget which ones and that was low enough so probably 20mm? You?

Need lows for my mk2!

I must admit all the reviews have been thumbs up, just one or two between super pro and power flex but superpro seem to get the better reviews ..... Plus AMD have an offer on!

I'm looking forward to the car sticking to the road with less roll round the bends around here. Does the dog bone mount bushes make a difference or is the upgraded dog bone mount needed aswell as I have not done this.

Superpro are meant to be a better quality from what I've read and been told. So far so good, very impressed mate. You'll love it.

Just the dog bone bush you get, reduces wheelhop. If you're still on the standard one you'll notice your grip levels improve dramatically when getting the power down.

Plenty to keep you going then mate ;)

If you're after a stealthy fmic, get an Airtec! Love mine!!

Dogbone mount is my favourite mod apart from my remap. Had the dogbone fitted before I had the car mapped and immediately felt a difference. Not just cos wheel hop is reduced but throttle response is much more direct and immediate. This is because the engine isn't slopping around in the bay as much as on the OEM mount/bushes, it's "connected" to the chassis better so the whole car feels a bit more alive.

I got the ECS dogbone mount, Awesome GTI still sell them I think. THS do one as well or you can take your OEM one out and change the bushes in that like t0m suggests, any of those options will make a nice difference.
