oddly enough, none of the Leon Mk2's have a courtesy light in the glovebox, which is a real pain and not in keeping with the price of the car there is bound to be something which will fit, maybe Golf/A4 etc? Anyone help out here
I have bought a pack of 4 LED "Prism" Micro LEDS from Halfrauds in red (can get white, pink or blue too) for £5.
These need only a 6MM hole and include a snaplock holder, have not fired one up yet to see how bright/intense/hot one is, am considering one pointing down to the darkness of the storage behind the gear lever too.
What armrest have you got and how much, I need one too
Fired up the laser red led from Cig Lighter and tried under radio storage, more like a spotlight than a spread of light and not tooooooo bright, in fact pretty much like an SAS assassin laser!
Can't make my mind up yet on whether suitable or whether two might work.
you have to install small button, when is pressed it is of and on when release (open box)
I can't write tutorial.. my friend did it.. but basicly.. you need to pull wire from cigarete lighter, add a small button switch and connect to passat light.. there is a place where that light was suposed to be.. I saw the other day one new leon that has light in glowbox by default..
I checked on ETKA right up the latest 2010 model year and I cant find any reference to a glovebox light anywhere It would be interesting to get a vin number off a car with one fitted, maybe Im just missing something
Taken a while to reply, but I thought I had one when I read the thread late Sunday night and I checked today and YEAH I HAVE ONE and on a courtesy switch too
