Had my remapped now its slower??????? WTF

Remap gone bad!!!!!!!!??? PLZ HELP

I had my car remapped today by awesome-gti,,,, it went in at 223.8bhp and 287ftlbs running at 23.3psi boost...
it came out with about 170bhp and 200ftlbs running 11.3psi boost... they said there's no problem with the map its my car,, well they run standard at 210bhp standard..... we changed the MAF sensor because the reading was down on it,, still no improvement,, then changed the N75 valve made abit of difference but still not right... now they are saying something is wrong with my engine somewhere e.g sensors or something. the car drives fine now its just lacking on boost really bad they have the boost at 25psi on the ecu but its not getting anywhere near that,,,,,, pleeeeeeeeease help with any info thanx marcus

If it wasn't there before the remap and it's the only thing that's been altered then that can be the only cause.

Sounds like it was remapped before with that level of torque

sounds like something has put it into limp mode...the level of torque you had before is waaay above standard, so sounds like there was a map on there already...

that is shocking demand your money back and get the hell out of there they should of backed up your old settings so get them to load the old map back on

Get them to run vag-com on there for fault codes and see whats wrong with it

check for boost leaks and change the MAF (You want a geninue bosch replacement)

next time go for a better known remap such as AMD Stage 1.2 or Revo

agreed sounds like it was mapped already probably a custom map

Sounds like they mapped it to stock boost, but with your car still down on power (all points at a MAF)

yea its a stage 1 revo remap,, i have changed the maf sensor from them (genuine bosh) and have changed the n75 valve which made it better... basically the car runs fine but is well down on boost... he has set the ecu to boost rating 8 which he told me it shud be running atleast 23psi maybe more.... the bloke who works ther has the same car with the same map and his is faster than mine.. so it must be something with car,, taking it bak on monday and there going to try and sort it out for me,, lets hope for the best as i want my power back lol

revo maps take time to bed in so to speak and for the ecu to learn new values so after you get it back once they have checked it bare that in mind should be fine after they have a had a look

Really my Revo map went on straight away..

yeah they do adapt the more you drive it after its just gone on ecu learning

MOST stage 1 maps have the MAP sensor set at 23 to 23.5PSI any thing over will stick it in to limp mode!!!
they have set it to 25! its lost all its boost since setting it to to 25PSI, its a no brainer to me that you had woody from toystory map your car LOL

pull the + of your battery for 30 mins NO LESS then pop it back on and go for a drive, dont nail it tottaly but just see if you have boost back again

soon as i picked my car up i noticed the difference. didnt take time to bed in it was instant
