hy there. My car has electric heated+folding mirrors (fr 1.8t) it must be an optional and this means it can be done by the dealer, but of course with the big price tag.

if you could, one day try see how much wiring their is going into it...we can later compare this to a standard one

ok, I will try to do this, maybe some pics if I can (realy busy at the moment must do this in the weekend).

Is this just as simple as swapping over the complete mirrors ? Would i have to fit a new switch as i just have the switch too move the glass theres no heating on/off option? (All my previous cars (vauxhalls) have had heated mirrors that come on when you switch on the rear window demister). Would the car need to be put onto a computer to enable the set up of the heated mirrors etc?
I've found a shop through ebay that sell complete wing mirrors. Their prices are:
Brand new electric, heated and primed wing mirrors for Ibiza 02 onwards for £66.
or
Brand new electric, heated, primed, power folding wing mirrors for £78.
There's an £8 delivery on the mirrors.

Any know how i'd go about changing my non heated electric mirrors to heated ones or heated, power folding ones (for an extra £10 each mirror)?

so does anyone actually know yet? I have a 2008 cupra tdi, and really would like to fit power folding/heated electric mirrors.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I had my door card off today to look at speakers, when doing this I noticed there are more wires going into the wingmirror plug than there are going out of it to the wingmirror so it could just be plug and play?

I really want to know this as I fancy some folding and heated mirrors
