Help - Drivers Door Bass Not Working

Hey

My front drivers side bass speaker keeps cutting in and out (mainly out). So took off the door card and checked it, when you press the bass in, it seems to work fine, but as soon as you take the pressure off it, its pushes back out and stops working.

Am i right to assume its broke and I need a new one? - or can I just botch it with a sponge and tape to hold it in place?

Size of the bass is 6.5" ?

Bump..

Surely there is a speaker boffin out there.... and yes, I have used the search feature - but with negative results..

Any help will be appreciated as its pretty annoying having sound only from the left :/
