help - i've lost a number plate light holder...

i've just tried to change a number plate light in the rear bumper and at first i couldn't work out how to get the bulb out, so i took out the bulb holder itself, then unplugged it (which seems to have been a big mistake) as the wire has disappeared into the bumper

i've had a look but can't see it, and i've had a poke around with some wire made into a hook, but no luck

am i going to have to take the bumper off to retrieve the wire - or is there an easier way???

pop the other one out but dont disconect it the both of them are joint together and use a bit of wire to catch it and pull it through its own space
