right as some of you know my cupra is in jabba now gettin IHI.
had it on the rollers and they have come back sayin that they think the fmic which is FORGE one is restricting the power. As you know IHI is capable of around the 350 region and am not really happy with the 319 its at now. does anyone have a bigger fmic for sale??? please!!

You don't exactly wanna pay out a few hundred for another FMIC, get it fitted, then realise its not the FMIC

i think paul hev has a JBS spec large intercooler going but someone deleted his for sale post coz he bumped it too many times, wants quite a lot of cash for it tho......

I thought the Forge FMIC was only rated upto 300bhp. Could be wrong though You've spent £5k just spend another £800 and get the Jabba FMIC! Ask them what kind of deal they'll do for you You could sell your Forge for ~£500 I reckon.

For those who can't be arsed to read it...Bill's car made 330bhp with a standard side mount IC. Now are Jabba really saying that the Forge FMIC item isnt even as good as a stock item?

Was it not a standard SMIC and a charge cooler though?? Reason I sold my Forge is due to it really only been capable of 300bhp and even then it gets hot, its not the largest of core's when it comes to 300bhp+.

At the end of the day you should have thought about this too, most big turbo applications require bigger intercoolers too. If you want the power you need to make your car the 'ideal' base car. This is why I have spent so long building mine up before booking it into anywhere!

Nope, only the standard SMIC, the Charge cooler was on order

The power and boost is being restricted at this time, as I still only have the stock IC, and it cannot cope with more than the 15psi boost sustained, before heatsoak and a large pressure loss is seen. Forge IC is on order, as is a Pace Chargecooler system, before goign for more.

I thought it was more to do with flow restriction and not cooling capabilities that the forge one isnt worth goin for on BT?

Cant see IHI gettin as hot running 1.2 bar, which is what i assume you'll be running on standard internals.
