This isn't good mate, all that money and not the results you were hoping for,

Cant see how the intercooler would restrict it that much to be honest.

Got mine sorted last night running 1.3 Bar to redline, its going very very well now, feels quicker than it ever has, so i think i will be near the magic 300 BHP mark now.

Yours is a much bigger blower and should be producing better figures really.

But lets be honest mate, its gonna be very very quick as is.

What boost pressure is it running mate, did they tell you?

i no it shall be quick dude but not wat iv paid for if you no wat i mean! 322bhp is alot less than the quoted 340-350 so just wanna get it sorted anmd runnin right now but guess il have to wait

load rubbish with the size of that intercooler an associated pipe wotk you should be able to get 350 bhp easily(fact).
as a test get them to fit one of the ones the recommend and without touching
any settings put your cooler back on . bet u youll get same bhp or more.
Old story of if you use our product this will happen:)

but the forge intercooler isnt just your in one side out the other is it? its bounces back and out the same side!! apparently these rnt as afficient as others?? just wat iv been told

they'll tell you what ever it takes though

we're just try to save you money at the end of the day.

but the truth is, they could just as easily mess with the dynos settings to read slightly higher after you've bought their intercooler. so aswell as wasting money on an unnecessary part, the RR printout will be completely useless

but would you just be happy with a print out saying 350bhp even if its not true?

Surely you need to rely on the power when the car is driven to decide how please you are with the power. People rely too much on pretty little graphs......

especially when there as inconcistant as they are (like my spellllign) lol

i have just got off the phone to forge themselves. they said the desinger of the intercooler only ever designed it for remapped cupra's i.e revo stage 1 etc not for the use with big turbo conversions exceeding 300bhp. so basically what they said is if jabba are sayin that its restricting it to 322bhp then thats more than likely the case. so guess il have to get a new one wen iv got the money saved up.. just though id post up for ppl wondering about using the forge one for BT's

so what exactly is the result?

are you taking the car back and replacing the cooler when you have extra funds?
have you got the car yet? even driven it dude?

personally i'd have picked up the car, taken what jabba said into consideration, driven the car, eventually done some vagcom logging of intake temps and decided for myself if i need a bigger cooler

obviously cant call forge wrong, but at the end of the day you gotta take jabba's word that theres some left in it. personally I'm abit sceptical

well how can you test the rate of flow

i'd estimate it has a large enough volume and more than adequate surface area. but then i dont have a sign above my door that says vag specialist or a set of rollers than i could calibrate to read 400bhp if you bought all my products

yes mate im just pickin car up tomoz morning running it at 322bp for now. like you said wel do some tests etc maybe get it rollered at another garage! see how they compare then il decide if i need a bigger cooler. thanx for all your input guys by the way il let you know how it drives tomoz. me and cupra+matt r goin to pick it up with our video camera too!! :)

as said earlier in the topic! im sure surface area etc is big enough bu its the fact that its a single pass one instead of dual pass like the jabba one. il get pics etc up asap to

Jabba is single pass to mate:

yeah both are single pass. the difference is that the inlet/outlet are on the rear of the cooler as opposed to on the sides

sounds like the right decision tbh
